ESE Servings

The abbreviation ESE stands for Easy Servings Espresso. The system was once developed by illy. These servings, or pods, are basically espresso pads you can use in your piston machine. One ESE serving contains 7 grams of pressed coffee, packaged in a filter. This serving is placed in a filter carrier (also named piston) of an espresso machine, and then used to make an espresso. Because the dosage and composition are determined beforehand, you always get a perfect result.
